The Superhub project is turning uninspiring spaces into interesting and usable places, combining more inviting bus shelters with attractive public realm and complementary facilities for both bus users and the wider Manor Royal community.
The idea of seeking to enhance bus stops within Crawley came from Manor Royal BID and our aspiration to enhance the public realm at key gateways into the Business District.
The UK's first Superhub was opened on 21 August 2025 at Manor Royal Central, a busy westbound bus stop, highly visible from both directions along Manor Royal road and from Faraday Road.
More than a bus stop, the Superhub team has transformed this space into something more inspiring, usable and eye-catching, with a fantastic new bespoke, bigger shelter, public art, new seating and planting.
This project is part funded by the Crawley Growth Programme, Crawley Towns Fund and Manor Royal BID who have led on the project, which is informed by the Manor Royal Projects Pack.
The aspiration of the Manor Royal BID is to deliver additional Superhubs at key locations across the Business District.
