A new seasonal wellbeing retreat combining Pilates, yoga, meditation and nature immersion will take place this spring at Herons Bonsai.
The Bridgeham Spring Seasonal Day Retreat will be held on Friday 17th April 2026 from 10:00am to 3:30pm, bringing together movement specialists and wellbeing practitioners for a restorative day designed to help participants reconnect with posture, breath and the natural rhythms of the season.
Hosted in association with Herons Bonsai, the retreat will take place within the nursery’s tranquil gardens and studio space near Lingfield.
The programme includes Stop My Stoop® Pilates, which focuses on improving posture, alignment and confident movement. A specialist session titled ‘Pilates Wisdom for Gardeners’ will also demonstrate how common gardening tasks such as sowing, lifting, digging and tending borders can be transformed into safe, strength-building movement patterns.
Participants will also experience guided yoga and meditation sessions, designed to slow the breath, clear the mind and encourage physical and mental restoration. A seasonal nourishing lunch will be provided as part of the day.
Jo Strutt, Director of Bridgeham Clinic said:
“This retreat is designed to help people reconnect with their natural rhythm through movement, breath and time in nature. By combining Pilates, yoga and meditation in a supportive environment, participants can explore simple ways to move with greater ease, build strength and restore balance.”
Jo added:
“The setting at Herons Bonsai offers a uniquely calm environment for this kind of seasonal retreat. It provides an opportunity to step away from the demands of daily life and experience a day focused on posture, presence and wellbeing.”
The Bridgeham Spring Seasonal Day Retreat costs £99 per person and places can be booked online or by calling 01293 542245.
