Introduction
The "Move it" initiative aims to revolutionise how we travel to work by promoting more active and sustainable travel behaviours among Manor Royal businesses and staff.
Why sustainable travel matters
Frustrations related to congestion and parking are among the top concerns for Manor Royal businesses and staff. By reducing our reliance on single-occupancy car journeys and investing in transport infrastructure and solutions, we can slash carbon emissions, alleviate traffic congestion, improve air quality, help employees cut costs as well as alleviate the pain of travelling to the business district.
The benefits
Enhanced Corporate Image By championing sustainable travel, businesses can bolster their brand reputation and demonstrate their commitment to environmental stewardship. Showcasing a dedication to sustainability can attract eco-conscious customers, investors, and employees alike.
Cost Savings Sustainable travel options often translate to lower commuting costs for employees, resulting in increased disposable income and improved employee satisfaction. Moreover businesses can benefit from reduced expenses associated with parking, fuel, and vehicle maintenance.
Employee Well-being and Productivity Encouraging employees to embrace sustainable travel can lead to numerous health benefits, including increased physical activity, reduced stress levels, and improved mental well-being. Happier, healthier employees are more productive, engaged, and loyal to their employers.
Reducing your carbon footprint Encouraging people to travel more sustainable can make a big difference to reducing your impact on the environment and demonstrates your commitment to sustainability.

Manor Royal Travel Survey 2025
The results of our Manor Royal BID, 2025 'Move it' Travel Survey, are in, and a huge thank you to everyone who took the time to take part. Your feedback is essential in helping us understand how people travel, where the challenges are, and how we can continue improving transport, active travel and parking across Manor Royal, through the 'Move it' initiative.
The latest survey shows a continued reliance on driving alone, growing awareness of sustainable travel options, and clear priorities around improving pavements, cycleways, safety, and tackling congestion. Parking pressures remain a particular issue for those without on?site spaces, especially in the northern zone.
We simply couldn’t gather this insight or shape future improvements without your input.
A special congratulations to our prize draw winners:
• Ian (Boeing)
• Hayley (Bridgeham)
• Emma (Nestlé)
• Katie (Elekta) – who generously donated her prize to Crawley Open House
• Alex (Virgin)
Thank you again to everyone who contributed. Your voice genuinely drives change across Manor Royal.
