Manor Royal BID welcomes new companies to Business District
Manor Royal BID welcomed fourteen new companies to the Business District at its annual showcase event on Thursday (16th). Around 110 local companies, business owners and policy makers came together at Virgin Atlantic’s ‘The Base’ in Crawley, to find out more about the new companies who exhibited at the event.
Guests also participated in an interactive question and answer session, ensuring their voice continues to be heard about the future priorities of the BID. 92% of those participating said they were supportive of the Business Improvement District as it enters its final year of its first five-year term.
During a presentation, Trevor Williams, Chairman of Manor Royal BID (and Site Director at Thales), spoke about the activities and achievements of the BID during the past year, whilst Steve Sawyer, BID Executive Director provided an update on future priorities. Representatives from the Manor Royal BID Board and its partners were also on hand to answer questions about how the BID is working to encourage local trade and facilitate contacts between companies large and small.
Steve Sawyer said: “As Crawley celebrates its 70th Anniversary as a new town, we wanted to roll-out the red carpet for some of the new companies that have moved their operations here over the past year. Manor Royal is a thriving and dynamic place with new companies and new developments taking shape continually. It’s becoming even more popular as a location for business, in part thanks to the work of our BID team and our partners who collaborate effectively to bring investment here.”
The Manor Royal Showcase Event is one of many initiatives the BID delivers for the benefit of Manor Royal companies and their staff.
