Test drive electric vehicles at sustainable business event
Learn about electric cars, vans and bikes at a Green Growth Platform event being held in Manor Royal next month.
The event on 26 January, run by the Sustainable Business Network, will be held at Motorline Nissan, on Gatwick Road, from 9am to 11am.
Thérèse Wynn-Davies, Innovation Specialist at Motorline Nissan Crawley, will speak at the event about the advancements in electric vehicles, including purchase and running costs, range, charging options and different vehicles available.
There will also be the opportunity to test drive the 24 kW Nissan LEAF, the new 30 kW Nissan LEAF with 155mile range and an electric van.
Nathan Catt, from Sustrans, will also share how driver training can reduce business fleet fuel consumption and talk about electric bikes, ideal for journeys through town centres or around large sites without the risk of breaking a sweat.
There will also be a focus on travel planning with Kay Wagland, Environment Officer at Crawley Borough Council, discussing how initiatives such as staggered work times, car sharing and public transport schemes and can help reduce costs and make for happier employees.
