Creative Pod scoops early triumph at 2015 Chamber Awards

Creative Pod scoops early triumph at 2015 Chamber Awards

Staff at a Manor Royal-based printing and marketing company are celebrating after being crowned one of the winners in the early rounds of the Chamber Awards 2015.

Creative Pod, based at Basepoint Business and Innoivation Centre, off Metcalf Way, scooped the South Regional Business in the Community Award on Thursday 29 September and will go up against the winners of the other regions in the national finals, which take place in London in November.

The awards, now in their 12th year, are one of the highlights of the business calendar and showcase the pivotal role local businesses play in the UK's continuing growth story.

The honour comes a week after it was announced the company's Managing Director, Matt Turner, has been shortlisted as a finalist in the Small Business Entrepreneur of the Year category at the 2015 Great British Entrepreneur Awards.

Mr Turner said he was proud of all the hard work his team does in the local area. "It is amazing to have won an award that covers such a vast area; Thames Valley, London, Bristol, Surrey, Hampshire, Kent, Cornwell, Dorset, Isle of Wight, Plymouth, Somerset and Sussex," he said. "It is such an honour and achievement for the team and I."

Nora Senior, President of the British Chambers of Commerce, added: "The Chamber Awards are the perfect opportunity to take stock of the outstanding performances of UK businesses over the past year - something made all the more impressive by the continuing global economic headwinds they are facing.

"The creativity and determination that has been shown by each year's entrants never ceases to impress us, and is a source of encouragement knowing that our economy is being driven by such hard-working and talented professionals.

"It's important that we recognise and celebrate these businesses, and ensure that we can provide the support and assistance they need to help them realise their growth ambitions, as well as sharing their experiences with their peers to help us to continue to develop a balanced and prosperous economy."
