MANOR ROYAL TRAINING - Emergency 1st Aid at Work
Qualsafe Level 3 Award in Emergency First Aid at Work
Discounted BID Price: £45pp for levy payers / £75pp for non-levy payers (standard price £105)
Those who are required to become an appointed person in their workplace, or who wish to gain a good
basic knowledge of first aid. Delegates should be physically fit to enable them to fully participate in the
practical elements of the course. Whilst there are no formal entry requirements we advise that
delegates have a minimum of Level 1 in literacy or equivalent to ensure that they are able to undertake
the multiple choice examination.
This qualification is ideal for those working in smaller workplaces that present few health and safety
risks, where an appointed person is required to take charge in the event of an illness, or accident. It is
also recommended for larger companies when additional First Aid personnel may need to assist those
with the full three day First Aid at Work qualification.
Delegates will gain more confidence in their ability to provide First Aid, with the emphasis on
preventing situations from becoming worse and maintaining life until help arrives. On successful
completion of this course, delegates will receive a First Aid Certificate (accredited by Qualsafe) that is
valid for three years.
The following topics are covered:
• First Aid techniques: Control of Bleeding
• Recognition and management of burns and scolds
• Treatment of shock
• Recognition and management of broken bones
• Causes of unconsciousness
• First Aid boxes
• Poison, epilepsy, asthma and heart attack
The course is assessed via a multiple choice examination and practical assessments.

Aid at Work qualification, or complete another health and safety related course.

Delegates should be physically fit and able to perform one round of CPR on the floor. Delegates are
