Trade Skills 4U celebrate 10th anniversary in style

Trade Skills 4U celebrate 10th anniversary in style

Manor Royal-based electrical training company Trade Skills 4U has celebrated its 10th birthday by giving away a brand new Vauxhall Combo van worth nearly £17,000.

Over the last two months, customers have been given the chance to enter the draw to compete in this week's final and the three finalists, drawn on Monday 1 June, were Gary Middleton from Brighton, Robert Beach-Dunne from Seaford and Jeff Case who travelled all the way down from Manchester.

To win the van, the men had to hold their nerve at a game of giant buzz wire and after a tense competition, Gary was declared the winner and presented with a bottle of champagne. "I cannot believe I've won because I buzzed really early on so was convinced I had blown it," Gary said shortly afterwards. "I have never won anything before so this is a complete shock. This means a huge deal to me and my family and will make it a bit easier as I look to change my career."

Gary, who currently works in the Asda store near the Brighton Marina, will start studying the silver domestic installer course with Trade Skills 4U at the start of July. Once he has completed his course, he hopes the van will help him in starting his own business as an electrician.

As for Trade Skills 4U, CEO Carl Bennett was full of praise for his staff and Manor Royal for helping his company reach the 10 year milestone. "I never expected Trade Skills 4U to achieve what we have in just 10 years," he said. "We are now the UK's number one electrical training company and I put our success down to two key reasons; A fantastic team and fantastic location too.

"We have put in a lot of hard graft over the years and it is very fulfilling to see it working. We intend to expand to even more locations across the UK in coming months so watch this space for more info."
